Bringing You Up To Speed
You may have noticed there
have been some changes since classes ended back in May. Rather
than having you wondering or guessing about what has been happening,
we thought we'd tell you right up front so everyone is on the same
page.
It's no secret that our
economy is suffering, and that being the case it is the rare
business that is an exception to the impact of the economy.
Leddy Center is not an exception. On May 30, Leddy Center was
forced to lay off its full-time secretary of over 15 years, Ellen
Gregg. In conjunction with that lay-off, two major changes
were made in the daily operations:
1) UPDATED INFORMATION: Office hours were dropped from
40 hours per week to 6 hours per week, but will be increased to 14
hours per week. Business hours NOW are
Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
Starting September 8, business hours will be Mondays, 3:00pm to
5:00pm and Wednesdays through Fridays, 1:00pm to 5:00pm.
2) Operations of Leddy School
were remanded entirely to the teachers. That means that Miss
Ellen, Miss Jen, Kimberly and Eric are now totally responsible for
recruiting and registering their students and maintaining all
associated paperwork and tuition/fee collections. Further,
that means that your payments are now made payable to the teacher
(or their business name) rather than Leddy Center.
These changes were made so
that Leddy Center could continue to function and endure ... and we
are very happy to report that the changes worked and Leddy Center is
functioning - thriving, even - as it enters its 35th season!
Now, knowing all that (we understand it's a lot to take in!), read
on ... There's more!! |

Leddy Center Will Be Moving
After Peter Pan!
EPPING, NH - Yes! You
understood correctly! Leddy Center has a
new location and will be moving following its production of
Peter Pan!
Leddy Center is staying in Epping, but is
moving to a location that will provide full accessibility to
wheelchairs, elderly, etc., and a much larger, more current space
overall! The theater seats 201 - not counting
wheelchair seating! Upon entering the theater, wide ramps
flank the seating, which faces the wider, deeper, proscenium-format
stage!
There will be a new lobby
space, new office, new private lesson studios (3 of them!) and Star of the Stage Theater Studio classes will
be held IN THE THEATER!!!! We are so excited and hope you are,
too!! |
